There is so much excitement in Room 17... our Painted Lady butterflies have emerged! We have two butterfly homes full of butterflies. Everyone enjoys watching them flutter about. We had a chance to observe them close up. I overheard some great comments:
"Look, it's sticking its tongue out at me!"
"No, that's the proboscis."
" It has white knobs on the top of the antenna... I wonder what they are?"
"I can see both pairs of wings. They look different."
"Wow! Its eyes look like beads!"
